Shalom everybody! Your favorite yenta enjoyed a mimosa while watching Project Runway Wednesday night. My granddaughter was in town from Israel, hence the procrastination, my apologies… I won’t give you the whole megillah, but here is a summing for those shlemiels who missed out…

Last week, the judges invited beautiful, pretty, dainty, and ISRAELI Hollywood starlet Natalie Portman. This week, they wanted to switch it up a little bit and the “celebrity” guest judge was the androgenous, butch, former-Rosanne lesbian, and once again Jewish celebrity, Sandra Bernhard. Thank you Project Runway for seeing the value of my Jewish people, however, the question on my and everyone elses mind (I am sure) is when did Sandra Bernhard become a fashionista? Don’t get me wrong, she came dressed as quite the gentleman, however, I don’t think it’s fair for the future of these bright, young designers to be in the hands of Mr. Sandra BernHARD.

Look at this Geshmek face (that’s Yiddish for delicious).

During this particular episode, the challenge was to create a look inspired by a snapshot taken on the streets of New York.

Tim Gunn was quoted writing the following on his blog, “The fabulous Sandra Bernhard is our guest judge. While I certainly associate her with personifying a night out on the town, I did not know that she is a true fashion insider. She is, and her knowledge and perceptions totally WOWed me!”.

First of all, how does one personify a night out on town? Second, it sounds to me that Mr. Gunn is trying desperately to find a justification for bringing to the panel a has-been, D-lister, NON-fashion related celebrity.

Emily, the girl who got voted off this week, created a tight, tacky cocktail dress with multi-colored ruffles attached. Let’s recall a typical Bernhard fashion statement from the mid 90′s: tight, tacky and multi-colored.

I think most viewers and fans will agree that this was an unfair elimination. Stay tuned as we keep you posted. We hear yet another transsexual, RuPaul, will be gracing the Project Runway panel in upcoming weeks.

I leave you with a quote from Fiddler on the Roof, “As the good book says, if you spit in the air, it lands in your face.”

Respectfully yours,

Dr. Whorovitch
