From 10:00 to 1:00 pm there will be thousands of Armenian protestors on the streets of Hollywood. From 4:00 on, other protesters will be on Wilshire Blvd, in front of the Turkish Embassy. There will be protests all around the world today!
The Armenian Genocide (also known as the Armenian Holocaust, the Armenian Massacres and, by Armenians, refers to the deliberate and systematic destruction of the Armenian population of the Ottoman Empire during and just after World War 1. More than one and a half Armenians were murdered in the most horrific, graphic and monstrous ways (pregnant women were speared in their stomach, teenaged girls were raped, children were beheaded, the elderly were forced to look at the sun until they turned blind, men were beheaded and lynched).
The date of the onset of the genocide is conventionally held to be April 24, 1915, the day that Ottoman authorities arrested Armenian intellectuals and community leaders. Thereafter, the Ottoman military uprooted Armenians from their homes and forced them to march for hundreds of miles, depriving them of food and water, to the Syrian desert .

we suffered a great deal as a people, i was outraged.this is why i went to the library and looked at books all about the history of armenia, and i read them all. the real story is that we were going to carry out a battle against the turkish, and this was in planning, and as soon as the turks found out that we were going to kill them, they went to murdering us first. you see, it would have been the other way around had they not heard of our planning.
we should for give and for get. i am a proud armenian, but all peoples have suffered, and most have let it go. the jews do not have a day of crying around, they go out there into the world and MAKE something of themselves. and they have money, so should we armenians get legitimate 7jobs and work for our families.
