The Associated Press is reported that Katherine Jackson has petitioned a California court for guardianship of her late son Michael’s three young children: Prince Jackson, 12, Paris Jackson, 11, and Blanket Jackson, 7.
“Minor children are currently residing with paternal grandmother. They have a long established relationship with paternal grandmother and are comfortable in her care,” states the papers.
A hearing has been set for August 3.
Currently Prince (12), Paris (11), and Prince Michael II (7) are staying in Encino, California with their grandmother.
Jackson family attorney Londell McMillan told press that there isn’t “anybody who thinks that there is someone better” than the Jackson family to have custody. Of Katherine he said “She is a very loving host of other grandchildren.”
